The EC85 has an output of 81kW (275,000 BTUs / Hr) and, as with the EC55, is widely recognised as being one of the UK's most popular indirect oil fired heaters for use in the marquee / event / temporary structure industry.
However, its dual voltage option also makes the EC85 very popular with the tool hire industry for use in construction and remediation, and the horticultural / agricultural sector for the heating of glasshouses, polytunnels and grain drying applications; the heater can be quite easily switched to the required voltage by simply removing the switch cover, setting the switch to the required voltage, and fitting the appropriate power cable and plug.
The heater can be purchased with a range of "marquee packages" designed to suit both budgetary and practical requirements; the ducting is manufactured with a hypalon, high temperature lead, and is available in 3m and 7.6m lengths. Other accessories available include a two-way splitter, pneumatic wheel kit and pre-heat oil filter.
The EC85 heavy duty's 135 litre fuel tank is sufficient to support 18 hours continuous running in the manual position (I); however, the unit is more often operated in conjunction with a Heavy Duty Thermostat (02AC582) in position (II) of the switch. The Heavy Duty Thermostat (02AC582) has a temperature range of -5/+50°C and is supplied with 10m of cable as standard.
The EC85 heavy duty heaters are fitted with a Tigerloop Kit as standard to enable you to connect to an external tank if required
